For the cupcake decoration:

12 cupcakes
1 batch buttercream icing
Queen Food Colour Gel (Black, Red and Blue)
Queen Choc Espresso Flavouring Essence
Dr. Oetker Sugar Stars
Dr. Oetker Sprinkles





Prepare your desired chocolate or vanilla cupcakes. Allow the cupcakes to cool on wire rack before icing.


Meanwhile, divide the icing into 4 separate bowls and add Queen Food Colour Gel to the icing as follows: Pink: 1 drop of Red, Blue: 1 drop of Blue, Black: few drops of Black. Leave one bowl of white icing with no colouring added. Add one teaspoon of Queen Flavour for Icing Choc Espresso to the black icing and mix well.


Scoop each colour about a tablespoon at a time into the piping bag to create a mixed pattern of all colours. Pipe icing (star nozzle No. 9 or any medium size) on top of the cupcakes and finish off with Dr. Oetker Sugar Stars and Sprinkles.
