Strawberry Santa Hats Cupcakes

These little Santa-hat topped chocolate cupcakes are really cute! And not only that, but they're delicious. Strawberry dipped in Easy Choc and decorated with our Sugar Stars are the perfect Santa hats.

For the Cupakes:

12 cupcake cases
125 g butter
125 g caster sugar
2 large eggs
125 g plain flour
25 g cocoa powder
10 g baking powder
100 g milk chocolate chips

To Decorate:

Dr. Oetker Buttercream Icing
strawberry , 12
1 tub Dr. Oetker Easy Choc White
Dr. Oetker Sugar Stars , white stars

For the Cupakes

Preheat the oven to 180˚C (160˚C fan- forced). Put the Muffin Cases in 12 muffin tins. Put the butter in a mixing bowl, add the caster sugar and eggs. Sift the flour, cocoa and baking powder on top and using an electric whisk on a low speed, gently blend the ingredients together. Increase the mixer speed and whisk for a few more seconds until well mixed. Stir in the chocolate chips.

Divide the mixture equally between the cases and smooth over the tops. Bake for about 25 minutes until risen and just firm to the touch. Transfer to a wire rack to cool.

To Decorate:

Prepare the Dr. Oetker Buttercream Icing as per packet instructions. Pipe onto cupcakes using a star tip.

Remove the hulls of the strawberries.

Prepare Dr. Oetker Easy Choc as per tub directions. Dip in the strawberry ends in the Easy Choc White and decorate it with the white Sugar Stars.

Add a strawberry on the Buttercream Icing, spoon a bit of Easy Choc on top of the strawberry and top it with a Sugar Star.
